"SHOULD"

Looking for a life coach in Portland OR
Years ago, my therapist told me to stop “should-ing” on my self all the time (and let’s be real, on other people too). I laughed but didn't get the realness of it at the time. 

Since then, I’ve worked reallyt hard to remove this word from my brain and my vocabulary but it likes to drop in during stressful times.

The irony is, instead of driving action, “should” only shuts us down and creates more stress, resentment and guilt.

Every time we use should/shouldn’t/should’ve we are effectively trying to argue with what IS. Let’s focus on what we CAN or WILL do instead of beating ourselves (or others) up with “should”.
