What is "Self-Coaching" and how will we work together?
I use a self-coaching model that teaches thought management in conjunction with writing, listening, and open, honest communication around any issue that you bring to the table.
By slowly and patiently deconstructing the thoughts around our circumstances, we can improve our results and have agency in our lives.
When we better understand how our brain is wired, we can be in control of it instead of it being in control of us.
Here's the thing: any skill we want to master takes practice, patience and guidance.
We all want the shortcut to "a better life" but personal evolution and growth is a journey not a sprint.
Think of working with a personal trainer at a gym.. They teach you effective technique, give you an outline of exercises to meet your personal goals, then show you how to use equipment properly and treat your body well so you don't injure yourself. They can't work out for you. You have to show up, apply that knowledge and actually do the work while they guide and support you. Going once or even a few times isn't going to get you the results you want. (I know, damnit!)
I like to think of coaching as a way to create a personal mind map that allows us to navigate the wacky terrain of our brain. In doing so, we get to ditch the old neural pathways in order to make way for new paths that better serve us. In doing so, we evolve, become our own biggest advocate, and the best versions of ourselves.
As your coach, my goal is to guide you with patience, meet you where you're at without judgement, and challenge you in all the best ways. In working together, I offer these self-coaching tools:
